What is volumMonster™? volumMonster™ is the BEST way to harness the "Power of FREE" to bring Artists and Fans together! Think of volumMonster™ as your fan's virtual "Backstage Pass"! Fans are granted access to redeem, download, and enjoy files that you have uploaded just for them and receive up-to-date information about you and your music!	BACK TO TOP

How does it work? It's really very simple. First, you set up an Artist Account. There are three levels available. Once you're in the game, you set up unique codes that you will give to your fans (we'll discuss how a little later). Fans will use that code to redeem files you have uploaded for them. To redeem a file a Fan must tell us who they are, and what their email address is. When they download your file(s), their information is added to your FAN COLLECTOR located in your MY ADMIN. From that point on, it's up to you to keep them happy! Make sure you keep them up to date on all that you have going on. Just don't spam the rip out of them! They hate that. As fans join and download and share files and tell friends and download some more and share files and... ok, you get the idea... you will literally grow your fan base one download at a time! What kind of files can I give away? The most obvious is an mp3 audio file. However, you can also upload videos, documents, jpegs, etc. Get creative!!! You're an Artist – so that should be easy! If you haven't read our Blog about how to best use volumMonster™, then go back to the word blog and click on it! There's some great information over there you need to know! In a nutshell, don't make the mistake of thinking you have to give away the music you've spent thousands of dollars recording. We want to help you build your fan base so you can sell them that music!!! Give away other things like... a live recording from a concert, an MTV Cribs™ style video tour of your home, a funny picture, a group of audience pictures from last nights concert, etc. When they become your fan, they will buy your music... that's just what fan's do. Do I need to set up a Fan Account? No, all the features of a Fan Account are already built into your Artist Account. This means that you can also redeem, download, and enjoy files! Those files will be kept in your Download History and are available to you anywhere you have an Internet connection! This is also a great way to do some research and see what other Artists are giving away and how they communicate with their fans!	BACK TO TOP

What are the benefits of an Artist Account? Wow... where do we start! We're all at a different place in our career, so it doesn't make sense to have a "One Size Fits All" mentality. volumMonster™ has 3 different Artist Accounts to choose from. Choose the one that's right for you! The greatest benefit is information! You may have a million people come to your shows. You may have sold a million downloads through iTunes. Yet, out of those millions of people, you might have a few email addresses! That's not cool. People love you and they love your music. You need to know who they are and you need to be able to stay in touch with them! volumMonster™ is all about using the "Power of Free" to ultimately build strong relationships with your fans. What are volumCards™? A volumCard™ is our answer for the physical delivery of music in a digital world. For the all the details just go HERE... but in summary – volumCards™ contain the code a fan needs to download your files. The same size as a business card, you give them away to your fans at your concerts.	BACK TO TOP

Can I sell volumCards™? Yes you can. You can sell our Digital volumCards™ AND keep 100% of your profit! That's right – you keep every penny! This is a higher quality product with a unique PIN code that allows your fans to access your latest release, or what we like to call, your most recent volum. You determine what your volum offers. Songs, videos, pictures, behind the scenes kind of stuff – whatever you want! Your volum does not have to look and smell like an album! Meaning it doesn't have to just be 10 songs. However, the same rules apply, so you now have the ability to collect Fan data from anyone who purchases your music! If you choose to sell Digital volumCards™, we recommend that you also give away the FREE version. Keep in mind that this works because Free is really what it's all about. Can I use volumMonster™ and keep my fans on my site? Now you're thinking! Of course you would rather keep your fans on your site! We know that! Soon you will be able to use the volumMonster™ widget. It's as easy as copying and pasting the widget code into your website, MySpace, Facebook, etc. Your fans can redeem, download, enjoy your files AND do it all having never left your page! Exciting huh? No more having to re-direct people to other sites. Get them to yours and keep them there!	BACK TO TOP

Is volumMonster™ safe? Absolutely! For you and your fans! However, make sure you've actually read the Terms of Use so you understand what will happen if you violate them by uploading something that you know you shouldn't! It's not pretty.	BACK TO TOP

Can Fans download mp3's directly into iTunes? Yes! Downloaded mp3 files will automatically open in their default mp3 player.	BACK TO TOP

Can I limit the number of downloads? Yes, you have total control over how many times a file can be downloaded. Once that number has been reached, it becomes inactive and the fan is notified that the specific file they are looking for is no longer available. Not only can you set the limit on the number of file downloads but you can also set the limit on the number of times a code can be redeemed and the number of times a fan can redeem that code. These features allow you to do special promotions that build even stronger relationships with your fans and create a downloading frenzy! Yes, we just said FRENZY!	BACK TO TOP

What if a fan accidentally deletes a file after downloading it? Let's go ahead and just say it... That's going to happen and probably more than once! BUT, No worries! If a Fan accidentally deletes a file, they can simply go to their MY ADMIN and retrieve the file again. Please Note: For your protection, we have given you the ability to set a limit on the number of code redemptions per fan and/or file downloads per fan!	BACK TO TOP
